Methods for Cleaning Anti-Osmosis Equipment
Time:2026-06-11 07:56

The successful development of reverse osmosis equipment is a groundbreaking advancement in domestic water treatment technology. Guangzhou Reverse Osmosis Equipment Company—Zhongnuo Environmental Protection—has focused on water equipment research and development for many years. Reverse osmosis is a membrane separation technology that relies on selective permeable (semipermeable) membranes and uses pressure as the driving force. When the pressure applied to the system exceeds the osmotic pressure of the incoming water solution, water molecules continuously pass through the membrane, flow into the central tube through the product water channel, and impurities in the water, such as ions, organic matter, bacteria, and viruses, are retained on the feed side of the membrane. These impurities then flow out from the concentrate water outlet, thereby achieving the purpose of separation and purification.

The use and operational efficiency of equipment are closely related to how well it is maintained. If water treatment equipment is out of use for more than 30 days, maintenance on the equipment is required.

The specific steps for protected operation are as follows:

1. Clean the membrane elements in the system;

2. Prepare a sterilizing solution using reverse osmosis (RO) product water, and flush the RO system with the sterilizing solution. The selection of the sterilant and the method for preparing the sterilizing solution can be found in the relevant technical documents from Hydranautics or by contacting the Beijing office of Hydranautics for technical advice.

3. After filling the RO system with the sterilizing solution, close the relevant valves to retain the sterilizing solution in the system. At this point, ensure that the system is completely filled.

4. If the system temperature is below 27°C, repeat steps two and three with fresh sterilizing solution every 30 days; if the system temperature is above 27°C, replace the protective solution (sterilizing solution) every 15 days.

5. Before putting the RO system back into operation, flush the system for one hour with low-pressure water, then flush with high-pressure water for 5-10 minutes. During both low-pressure and high-pressure flushing, all product water discharge valves should be fully open. Before resuming normal operation of the system, check and confirm that the product water contains no sterilants.

To fully maximize the operational efficiency of the equipment, it is very important to pay attention to equipment maintenance. For any water treatment equipment issues, you can consult Guangzhou Zhongnuo Environmental Protection at any time.
